Weigh-In

So I'm not ecstatic about my number, but I'll take it.

Amy : 239 | (-3)
D : 279 | (-3)

I went walking this morning and my right calf is on fire! It's not the back though, it's on the outer side of it about a third of the way from my ankle to my knee. Strangely enough, the hurting stopped when I picked up the pace to a jog. BUT! I haven't jogged in so long, I either forgot how to breath or I'm borderline asthmatic. Probably the forgetful part.

I'll try again at some point. Went bowling last night and that worked up a sweat too. I never remembered getting sweaty when I bowled before, but geez. Throwing a ten or twelve lbs ball does get tiring after an hour.

So this week I really need to keep doing my walking (maybe soon jogging) even if Dylan can't. I barely made it out of the 240s this week and hoping to smash that 235 mark that used to be my heaviest when I was in college this coming week. Lots more water. Lots more walking.

  1. I get anterior shin pain too. It's amazingly annoying. When I first started walking I got it, then I stopped getting it and now that I've started the Couch to 5k, I'm getting it again. But it seems to be easy to work off and it only happens when I'm pushing myself beyond what I was doing before. But yeah...it's really painful. Congratulations on your loss. 3 pounds is great!

  2. I didn't get it when I first started walking. It was just this past week after a little break from our 3.6 mi walks. Annoying is right. And painful too. I rather have all my piercings redone than deal with this shin pain - 15 in all including the ones that are closed. There is no working it off for me. I stopped and stretched after half a mile for about ten minutes, it dulled a little bit, but didn't go away unless i was jogging. Today is my biking workout so hopefully it won't be an issue today.
