Yesterday was hell for me, emotionally and dietly (it's my word, spellcheck, get over it). I went way over on my carbs and had a DYING chocolate craving.
I don't know how dieting choco-loving ladies do it, especially when Aunt Flo is in town. I cracked for a Caramel Milky Way yesterday but didn't eat it until today. OOooo It was good.
Going shopping to pick out a dishwasher! YAY for no more dirty dishes to wash.
Today is much better. I laid out my meal and controlled my snacking. My carbs are in check, but still trying to get more protein into my diet. Blah.
When I first started my weight loss last October, I knew I was going to have some problems as far as chocolate is concerned. This was before I weaned myself off refined sugar and stopped my sweets/carbs cravings. So, I bought a bunch of the mini Ghiradelli dark chocolate bite sizes chocolates. I ate one a day, two if I was well within my calorie budget. I did that for several months actually, until I stopped having those cravings. I still allow myself chocolate but I don't crave it anymore and so I don't do the "chocolate a day" thing. Still, it really saved me when I was doing it.
ReplyDeleteMy only issue with that is that I can't limit myself to just one. I've tried that before. I go "Oh, just one more..." until I've eaten half the bag. >.> Thank you for sharing the tip and will possibly try again, given I have my biggest cheerleader to put my chocolate in a high place if I do try to sneak more. I'm only 5'2". He's 6'0~6'1"-ish so he can do it. Lol. It's also good to know that D isn't the soul person that reads my blog. Helps me keep accountable, but also makes me a little compelled to try to be entertaining (YIKES!).
