I'm just going to overview my previous attempts that I've blogged about.

Yep. I'm on the weight loss kick again, but this time I have help. And as much as our society is keen on looks, losing weight might actually help me get one of those better paying awesome jobs I'm looking for after college. Also my joints are causing me a lot of pain.. Need to fix that eventually.

So New Year's Resolution was to Lose 5 lbs a month until I reach my BMI healthy Weight (135). This is actually considered slightly overweight but hey, I dont think I'd look good at 98-128 lbs.

Here is the progress so far. Started Jan 8, 2009 - 248 lbs.
Jan 15, 2009 - 246
1-2 skip a few weeks
Feb 23, 2009- 235 (WHAT!?! Oh yea)

I go to the gym (Anytime Fitness, so no matter where I am, home, Baton Rouge, I can go to the gym. No excuses anymore.) and getting a heavy bag set up in the house so I can take out some of that frustration.

All my carbs (I'm not perfect so most my carbs) are now in the form of whole wheat and I am cutting down on soda.

So, I lost my first 10 lbs since the beginning of August. I had a bit real big setback due to the stress at work and my junk food binge this weekend, but still weighed in 3 lbs less than last week. I've been on a fairly strict diet the past few weeks and in 2 weeks I lost 7 lbs. I haven't really being doing much exercise other than just being up and down all day at work. I do DDR every now and then.. Regardless, I'm still excited and so ready to keep this up. No more weekend long binges!

So I'm horrible about starting something and not finishing. I just weighed myself and I weigh 240. My grandmother has even offered to help pay for a Lap-Band surgery. I hate doctors and the only thing I hate more is hospitals so I want to avoid this the best I can. After the 1st, I'm going to the doctor to start on some of his or her advice, maybe get some adapex. I have to get into some rules in place. The only way to do this is to do it cold turkey. Every time I try to do it gradually, i just let more and more back in until I'm back where I was.

So the RULES!
  • NO FAST FOOD!
  • NO SODA
  • NO SUGARY FOOD!
  • Look out for High Fructose Corn Syrup.
  • At least 5 small meals per day.
So here is how I want my days to go. Up at 6am, go for a walk with the dogs, in the tub by 7am, cook a small breakfast @7:30, go to work for 8:30. Eat again at 9:30, 12:30, 3:30 and my final meal at 6:30. After that, nothing but water.

We'll see how this works.
